River is a 3yr old Labrador Retriever x Catahoula dog . He is a handsome black colour with a white tuxedo chest. River is good with other dogs and enjoys trips to the off leash dog park where he can run to his hearts content.
River is good with people of all ages and is reported to have an especially calm demeanour with children. River was raised in a home with children.
River walks well on leash & follows basic obedience commands such as sit, down, paw, stay, and come. River is trained not to touch the food bowl until told "yes". He has also been taught not to jump up in greeting.
River also loves to play fetch ... the ball being one of his favourites. He plays fetch nicely with children as well as with adults.
He loves to have a good run outside but is just as content to lie inside the door basking in a sunbeam. River likes to find quiet spots away from noise and the hustle & bustle of too many people coming and going.
Although good with children, due to his large size, we recommend River for an adult home or a home with children over the age of 7yrs.
